Points of Connection

I went to the Orlando Museum of Art to see the Points of Connection exhibit by JEFRË. It was full of striking neon lights, metallic figures, and contemplative references to our multicultural society.

The tour started with JEFRË (right, in the hat) in the room full of clear heads with neon signs.

A installation made of rice, symbolic of his family’s immigration and hope for a better life.

The BÄKS series, a collection of stainless steel figures.

Back the Talking Heads (Collective Consciousness) exhibit it was explained that each head contained a positive affirmation in a different language. Scanning a QR code on the floor beneath each head would make the word audible for the entire room.

I circled back to take more photos of the stainless steel figures. It was such a treat to venture out of the house, if only for a little while, and be immersed in art.
