Basilica del Sacro Cuore di Gesù and The Borghese Gardens

On the way back to our hotel we decided to visit The Basilica del Sacro Cuore di Gesù. It was across the street from the Termini Station and we had already walked past it a few times earlier on our trip. Now we finally got to step inside.

After checking into the hotel, dad decided to take a nap while my mother, sisters, and I made our way to The Borghese Gardens.

Vinoy Park and The St. Pete Pier

Mom and I went out for a lovely afternoon in downtown St. Pete.

We were lucky enough to spot a dolphin.

Enjoying some mint chocolate chip ice cream with the setting sun.

Mount Charleston

For the final day of my trip to Las Vegas we visited Mount Charleston and the surrounding area.

The charred remains of a tree that had been in a recent forest fire.

Some of the lovely views of the desert as we drove home.

For dinner that night Emily and Mike made a lovely home cooked diner with marinated chicken, avocado, sweet potato, and a salad.
