Covered Bridges, Wilson Pond, and The Full Moon Over Keene

After apple picking we made some fun stops on the way back to downtown Keene.

Jenny wanted to see some historic covered bridges and luckily we found two that were close to each other. This is Cresson Bridge, originally built in 1859.

Carlton Bridge, rebuilt in 1869. The original bridge was built in 1789.

We had a lovely dinner at Otto’s in downtown Keene. Jenny had the butternut bisque and fresh oysters.

I had some delicious fish and chips.

For our last full day of the trip we decided to go to Vermont for some apple picking at Green Mountain Orchard.

Green Mountain Orchard also had a few beautiful horses on site.

After some apple picking we headed to Putney Mountain Winery for a fun and spontaneous wine tasting. They had a cute little picnic bench outside where we enjoyed some of our snacks from Green Mountain Orchard.
